El Tuma is surrounded by could forests and mountains in the heart of Matagalpa, Nicaragua's renowned cacao region alongside the Tuma River with beautiful waterfalls and rich biodiversity.
Cacao trees grow here harmoniously mixed with other fruit and nut trees and provide many ecological benefits.
Ripe pods of select tree varieties are hand harvested. Wet beans are naturally fermented and sun dried.
We receive the dried cacao then sort, roast, winnow, and stone-grind, temper, and mould the whole bean into this chocolate.
